This is another movie of Shaia Leboulf after Transformers and Indiana Jones. I had watch this movie and it’s not that as good like the first two movies but it’s acceptable. Eagle eye is a secret unit of US defense. They used advance computers in their missions. But the computer cannot be manilpulated anymore. It plans to established a terrorist attack against the president by using two innocent US citizen. One of them is Shaia which portrays the role of Jerry Shaw. The movie is amazing because you can see how computers manipulate the lives of the people. They can track you, call you, and even know your profile. During chasing between Jerry and the FBI, the computers redirect Jerry with regards to his next moves to escape. This movie is unpredictable. I am surprise with the ending part that he is still alive after the gun shot. This is a must see movie.

Soulmen

Soulmen was a very good movie. It starred the late Bernie Mac, the late Isaac Hayes and Samuel L. Jackson.
It is about two men who were in a group in the 70’s and they dis-banned. The 3rd member of their group died and they were asked to come and perform at a benefit in the 3rd members honor. Bernie Mac wanted to do it, but Samuel L. Jackson didn’t. Eventually, Samuel decided to do the benefit. The movie showed the two on their traveling venture to their destination and there were some funny scenes.
They stopped by a female members house to only learn that she died a few months ago and she had a daughter. Because they were both once married to her, they didn’t know which one was her father. The daughter could sing and they wanted her to continue the traveling with them. She did and with her singing at pit stops, Isaac Hayes discovered her and had some opportunities for her to begin a singing career.
They get into some legal trouble, but they’re allowed to perform at the benefit. They did a really good job. I won’t spoil the ending other than to say after the movie was over, there was a really good interview with Bernie Mac. It was his last one.

Movie Nights

I can’t wait until my Christmas break. I’m going to indulge in a bunch of movie nights and days. I’m in college so I get a whole month off. I can’t wait. I’m so anxious to lounge around in my pj’s and just watch movies and eat popcorn!

I like Redbox b/c its so cheap and always has free Monday movies. So I might use them. Or I have a couple of free gc to Hollywood and Blockbuster I should use up to.

I love Lifetime movies. I might just spend an entire weekend at my parents, since they have DirecTv and tape a bunch of Lifetime movies and do nothing but watch those!!

*sigh* but I got to get through Final Exams and papers and a presentation first.

High School Musical 3

One Saturday, I planned to have a quiet afternoon with me and my computer. My husbands cousin came by and had his two kids with him. He was planning to take his kids to the movies, but at the sametime, he recently purchased a house and had things he needed to do there as well. He wanted my husband to come and help him and they came up with the idea of asking me to take the kids to the movies.
My husbands cousin offerred to pay my daughter and her friends way for them to go as well. They wanted to see the movie, so I agreed to take all of them to the movies….not a movie I would go see on my own, but I did it for the kids.
I thought the movie was pretty good. It was actually a love story about Seniors in high school. They obviously were singing and dancing, but in addition to that, sports and the prom were involved as well.
There was a lot of singing and dancing and I was actually surprised that kids were actually attracted to that type of movie. It attracts kids of all ages.
The story line was good and the movie was entertaining really for all ages to my surprise!

Oprah

I Tivo, so I’m not sure when this episode aired, but I saw it today.

So, today on Oprah, Dr. Oz was on who talked about the healthiest places in the world! Number one was the Nicoya Penninsula in Costa Rica. I was so excited to see this. I lived in Costa Rica for a few months. At first I stayed in Guanacaste, followed by San José. It was so cool to be consuming the fruit right outside our windows. You could walk down the street and just pick a fruit and eat it. It was amazing.

That is one part they talked about on Oprah. The other was that Ticos (Costa Ricans) work for their food. They good real and fresh meals, which may involve cultivating and grinding it. The family on Oprah did not buy already prepared foods or anything with preservatives. I’m glad I was able to watch this episode.

Not Another Horror Remake

As a horror movie fan for most of my life, I have to say that I’m pretty disappointed at what is coming our way. I realize that remakes have been a part of film for decades, but I just don’t agree with remakes of movies that “we” grew up on.

Case in point, did you know that there is a Friday the 13th remake due out on Friday, February 13th, 2009? It’s supposedly a remake, yet Jason is in it??? Jason was not the killer in the original movie. His mother was. So now I’ve heard it’s a remake/collaboration of the first three movies. Come on!

Next, they are supposedly doing a remake of Nightmare on Elm Street, and guess who is NOT going to be playing Freddy? As far as I’m concerned, this is an abomination. There is only one Freddy, and no one can even come close.

When are horror movie directors going to get back to their creative juices and give us something fresh and new. Have they really completely run out of ideas, so all they can do is remake movies that are fine just the way they are? I for one will not be running to the theater for either of these. Admittedly I will probably rent them from Netflix when they come out, but knowing me, I’ll be tearing them apart piece-by-piece when I do.

Watchman trailer is so cool!

Have you watch the “watchman” trailer? I saw it from the theater preview. It was so cool, I guess that it is one of the Marvel latest production. Because Marvel comics always produce superhero movies. This one looks similar to one of their production.

I don’t know if there is a comic book called “Watchman” existed or not. But it certainly will be one of the biggest on next year. This movie will release on April, Spring time during the 2009. I like the “Night Owl” costume and the hollow man. They seems powerful and holding the key characters in this movie. I just can’t wait for it to come up. Since I am a big fan of these Sci -Fi films.
These Sci - Fi movies also told us to take responsibility if we think that we can do something to this world. We can make a change if we willing to. We won’t be the superhero, but we always have something to look upon to.

Biggest Loser this week

I was screaming in delight when Michelle won biggest loser of the week! She lost TEN pounds, it was so amazing! I can’t believe it and I’m sooo happy for her! Amy went home and Heba stayed, but its not like we didn’t see it coming. Vicki is a, well I can’t say what she is. But if you’ve seen the show, you know exactly what type of personality this *woman* has. Amy was a nice girl but she should have botted Vicky when she had the chance. Now Vicky booted her off. Such is life. Poor girl, I don’t know why she trusted her.

But heck ya to Michelle and her mom that won the top places! I was SOOOOOOO proud of them! I hope either of them win. Oh, last week I was also screaming when Michelle and her mom teamed up in the water thing and Michelle said she’d buy her mom a purse. That was so great and I love how their relationship has repaired. They look so great and so did Amy!

Twilight

A friend of mine invited me to see the movie “Twilight” last night. I expected the movie more action oriented. As the end, it was such a teen romantic movie. I rather a little bit of disappointment after watching it.
It was from some same old plot as other teen movies. A new girl in the new school, fall in love on her first sight of a guy. The only difference, the guy she falls in love is a vampire. Later, she discovers the secret. She wasn’t that afraid, she just accepted it as a truth. She can’t pretend that she not to love her. Even, she loves him more. There is always obstacles as the story moves on. A little action is inevitable. You have to bear with it. A romantic dancing scene is the awesome one at the ending. The vampire can even love. He couldn’t bear to see her to become a blood - sucking being, even he could make her immortal. Sometimes, love just have to let go in the final step.
As it turns out, a romantic movie that tells love can be apply on Vampire and human. It is the nature of the world. We do love each other. But the result is not always satisfactory. It is about the journey we go through. The memorable snapshots of being love, to love, and love back. We couldn’t predict the ending, but we can do the best we can to make it work, and it is always the right thing to do.

This a funny movie.The lead star is Ana faris. I like her because she fits the role. She is sexy and funny as well. It is about the girl in playboy house whom kickout in the mansion because of overage. Actually, she is being set up by her co-palyboy girl whom envied at her.Ana Faris went to downtown and got jailed. Until she was accepted as a housemother of one sorority group named Zeta. This group is composed of geek and insecure girls. Their house is being close because they don’t have enough number of members. When this playboy girl arrived in their house, things change. She change them to be pretty and confident girls. They became famous in the school. The school head granted the continuance of the Zeta because they reach the minimum members for the sorority.
