October 20, 2009

Looking for a DVD to watch during the Halloween season? Drag Me to Hell movie is now out on DVD. Drag Me to Hell is directed by Sam Raimi. If you’re not familiar with the name, Sam Raimi is also the directed of the infamous Spider Man movie. Drag Me to Hell is definitely a keeper and one to add to your DVD collection of movies.

Drag Me to Hell movie stars Alison Lohman and Justin Long. The directing by Sam Raimi is excellent. The acting by Lohman and Long is also excellent. The story-line is slightly predictable but handled in a humorous sort of way.

You will want to fill up your popcorn and drinks. No-one is going to want to pause the movie, Drag Me to Hell when you watch it on DVD at home. Be prepared for some humor and horror combined together in Drag Me to Hell.

Zombieland Total Let Down

October 20, 2009

I recently watched Zombieland in the theaters. Zombieland is rated R. The reason I primarily wanted to see Zombieland was the list of actors and actresses in the movie caught my attention.

While, Zombieland is a horror movie, it is also a comedy. Several of my friends found Zombieland to be hysterical. I was extremely let down by the movie, Zombieland. The only part I was laughing at was how pathetically made the movie was.

The entire movie is very predictable. You can almost count the seconds until your prediction of what is going to happen next actually unfolds on the screen before your very eyes. Absolutely, no suspense.

There was some gore. This was done reasonably well. However, the entire thing was just strange. There was no explanation as to why the non-zombie characters were immune to the disease that caused the destruction of mankind and petkind.

I definitely give Zombieland the thumbs-down and feel it was disappointing.
