D.J. Caruso Offers New Twist for ‘Y: The Last Man’
September 23, 2008
Although adopted from Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s comic book series having the same name, “Y: The Last Man” will be present several fresh twists for fans. It has been revealed by the director D.J. Caruso that one of the changes will show a deeper connection between Yorick and Ampersand.
Caruso said ,”One big change is that we put in a ‘ticking clock’ with Yorick and Ampersand and I separated them, and Yorick starts to get a little sick when Ampersand’s not with him. I felt like we needed some kind of ticking clock so it wasn’t just a boy and his monkey.”
Inspite of several changes it has been insisted by the filmmakers that the movie will offer the same opening like its original book.
