Master the Secret Law of Attraction With Mind Movies
June 28, 2008
I am sure that most of us by now have heard of the Law of Attraction. The law that says we attract to us what is most prominent in our minds. The recent hit DVD movie, “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrnes, emphasized that mastering the Law of Attraction will just about get you anything you want in you life, be it money, love, success or happiness. So, how does one go about mastering the Law of Attraction? One way I found out recently and very inexpensively, is to create a video of what you want in your life, and watch that video everyday, so that what you want becomes what is most prominent in you mind. Add some emotionally uplifting music to get you in sync with all your goals, not only helps, but also enhances the experience. So, how does one go about producing such a video? The answer is a video creation kit called MindMovies.
MindMovies is a complete creation kit with video tutorials that will help you to quickly and simply build a 3-minute slideshow/movie of your perfect life. Watch your Mind Movie every morning and night to help you manifest through the Law of Attraction, everything you want to be and everything you want. The Mind Movie software kit, which costs only $37, helps you to simply and easily create a compact version of the essence of The Secret personalized just for you.
MindMovies takes setting intentions, creating treasure maps, vision boards or dream boards and repeating affirmations to a new level. If you saw the movie “The Secret” or “What the Bleep Do We Know?” or explored Shakti Gawain’s classic “Creative Visualization”, Esther Hicks’ “Ask And It Is Given” or any of the other Abraham-Hicks teachings … if you’ve discovered Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” or any of Deepak Chopra’s books and DVD’s, you’re familiar with the concept that transformed the life of every person who ever truly understood it… Plato, Newton, Carnegie, Beethoven, Shakespeare, Einstein… THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS. But the power of intention has been misunderstood and under-utilized by the majority of people in the world for many, many years. Innovators and leaders have known this secret and have tapped into this limitless pool of power to change the world. This power is what drives the universe, and it is available to EVERYONE no matter what his or her circumstance. Or as Deepak Chopra puts it, “The Universe consists of a single energy or consciousness; this energy is the Field of All Possibilities.”
The power of intention is simple: think about what you would like to manifest in your life…good health, loving relationships, as much money as you need or want, work that inspires you, peace on the earth, a healthy environment. All of these things are our birthright, and through the Law of Attraction we can bring them into fruition in our daily experience. All we have to do is focus on what we want instead of what we don’t want. The next step is to create positive statements that are full of joy and gratitude and state them in the present tense. Don’t forget that Attitude of Gratitude… affirming those aspects of your life that are already bringing happiness into your life will help you to attract even more joyful, fulfilling experiences. The secret is to engage yourself in the process rather than just stating the affirmation.
By making a Mind Movie you can take your ideas from the abstract and “wish” state into a reality in a short period of time. Depending on how much emotion you attach to your desire, and how much your belief systems align with your desire, will determine how quickly you see your reality rearranging to fit your desire. A Mind Movie can help you put it all together-the desire, how you describe it, what it looks like, what it feels like, and inspiring music to align the desire with your deepest, strongest feelings and emotions. If you want to see a sample of a mind movie, you can see one at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fb9GSAK3AHU
Follow the link below to the MindMovies website, watch the short introductory video that explains this amazing creation kit. You can purchase their complete training program, which includes the software, templates, tutorials and more. This is a remarkably inexpensive system…only a $37 investment. You will receive all the resources (including training videos) to help you create your own Mind Movie. Then you can broadcast your movie anywhere you like: You Tube, your website, your MySpace page, send it out in emails, put it on DVD’s etc.
Beverly Hills 90210 2.0
June 27, 2008
I was one of the fanatics of Beverly Hills 90210. I loved Brandon and I liked her twin sister, Brenda, played by Shannen Doherty. Her relationship with Luke Perry a.k.a. Dylan McKay was really swoon-worthy and I was rooting for them.
I have watched all episodes religiously but I think when Doherty left the show I lost interest and didn’t watch it weekly like I did in the past. She was my favorite character but at that time there were rumors that she was a prima donna during taping that’s why she left the show.
This year, rumors surfaced that a spinoff of the series will air this fall of 2008. It will be tentatively called 90210 and Jennie Garth will return for the show as will Tori Spelling. They were cast members of the original series. I’m curious as to how they will approach the storyline or if there will be similarities from the original concept but I am excited just the same. I just hope they can bring back Brenda for the show.
Card Counting, Blackjack, and Vegas - “21″ Movie Review
June 27, 2008
Based on the true story of six M.I.T. students, “21″ is a movie about a group of M.I.T. students who, under the tutelage of one of their professors, learn how to count cards and take their skills to Vegas to win a large sum of money at blackjack at the various casinos there. Although counting cards isn’t technically illegal, the casinos frown heavily upon it. The story takes place before the development of facial recognition software (where the casinos can catch cheaters easier with the use of cameras and computers), so catching card counters was a lot more difficult, and thus the punishments were more severe.
“21″ stars Jim Sturgess (”Across the Universe”) as Ben Campell. Ben is a genius M.I.T. student who is cruising his way towards graduation. He has been accepted into the prestigious Harvard Medical School, but Ben does not have the finances to attend. His only shot at making it there is to win the single full-ride scholarship given out by Harvard, but as the Harvard representative explains to him, Ben would need to wow Harvard to win it. Looking at Ben’s past, he is worried that he doesn’t have anything that would qualify as a “wow” factor.
One night, Ben gets invited to join a secret group of students practicing their skills at card counting under the teaching of Professor Rosa (Kevin Spacey - “American Beauty”). Although hesitant at first to join, the offer of Medical School tuition keeps Ben around. The group goes to Vegas and wins big in their first couple attempts.
The ecstasy of victory only lasts so long, however, as a number of problems arise. In-group fighting, losing a distinction between what’s real and what’s pretend, and the threat of getting caught are just a few of the problems that Professor Rosa’s crew has to face in Vegas, and eventually it overwhelms the group, threatening to break them apart. Ben must decide what in his life is the most important.
“21″ also stars Laurence Fishburne (”The Matrix”) as Cole Williams, a casino consultant who has lost his previous job to card counters and vows to catch this newest group before they take everything from his new job.
“21″ hits the mark on everything it tried to accomplish. It showed both the highs and lows gambling can cause. In Vegas, you can be whomever you want and no one needs or wants to know any different. At the same point, the cost of obsession (in this case winning and earning large amounts of money) can become too great. Friendships can be ruined, careers can be put off track, and the important things in life can be lost in the process.
The cinematography in “21″ is stunning. As Ben begins to learn and practice card counting, the camera slows down the motion of the cards being dealt in order for Ben to explain how card counting works. The system the group develops involves key words and hand signals. Every time Ben would hear one of these words, Ben would flash back to his practice using flash cards to remember what the words meant. Every time he would see one of the hand motions, the camera would slow down to show how Ben’s mind caught and reacted to the signals.
Overall, “21″ is a fantastic movie. It tells the story of what can happen when a group of people allow themselves to profit from their intelligence and have a great time while doing it. “21″ makes the viewer want to dream big themselves and strive for something out of the ordinary.
Jeff Goldblum joins ‘Criminal Intent’
June 27, 2008
Goldblum is set to replace Chris Noth next season on “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.”
Like Noth, Goldblum will be seen in half of the series’ episodes; discussions are ongoing with Vincent D’Onofrio to continue headlining the other half.
Noth, who joined the show in 2005, when D’Onofrio opted to reduce his workload, reps the show’s latest departure. Exec producer Warren Leight recently left and signed a deal with HBO, where he’ll oversee the second season of “In Treatment.” A replacement for Leight has not yet been named.
It’s the second exit from the franchise for Noth, who originated the character of Mike Logan on the show’s mothership in 1990 before leaving in 1995; he later resurrected the character for the telepic “Exiled: A Law & Order Movie” and then again for “Criminal Intent.”
“Chris has been a member of the ‘Law & Order’ family since the beginning, and Mike Logan is one of the most popular detectives in the history of television,” exec producer Dick Wolf said.
As for Goldblum, thesp’s TV credits include the recent short-lived NBC drama “Raines.” He also appeared in the Starz movie “Pittsburgh” and in an episode of that cabler’s series “Head Case.”
“Jeff’s presence will add a new dimension to an already successful show,” Wolf said.
USA is airing seventh season segs of “Criminal Intent” and last month gave the show a 16-episode order for its eighth.
USA, Wolf and Universal Media Studios are still working out deals not only with D’Onofrio but with the show’s other stars as well, including Eric Bogosian, Julianne Nicholson and Kathryn Erbe.
Production on “Criminal Intent” is still slated to start by the end of the summer for a fall return.

The Strangers Full Movie - How to Safely Download Movies Online
June 27, 2008
So you’re looking for a place to download The Strangers online, but where is it safe to download movies? Downloading movies online can be very risky and it’s important to know where it’s safe to download from. The best piece of advice is to avoid self-proclaimed “free” download sites. These sites are generally a breeding ground for viruses and spyware. You’re much better off investing in a movie download service that charges a small one time membership fee. These fees are more than reasonable when you consider how much a single trip to the movie theater actually costs. With the price of gas these days, you will be saving money within a few downloads. So how do you choose the movie download service that best fits your needs?
Well first you’re going to want to find a site that offers unlimited bandwidth. You don’t want to spend an entire day downloading a single movie. Also make sure there are no content, time, or search limitations.
You also want to find a download service that offers a large selection of movies. Some of the top download sites grant access to over 80 million files. These files contain movies, games, television shows, sporting events and more. With so many movies to choose from you’ll never be without something to watch.
Picture quality is also very important. Watching The Strangers in poor quality would be a serious waste of your time and money. Make sure to choose a site that offer DVD quality movie downloads.
You should now be able to make an educated decision when choosing a safe and reliable movie download service. Now all that is left to do is to site back and enjoy countless hours of your favorite movies.
Interiors (1978) - Woody Allen
June 27, 2008
When I first discovered the joys of Woody Allen, ‘Interiors’ came as something of a shock. Where was the man who could effortlessly blend solemn introspection with great belly-laughs? Where was my Woody? I perhaps didn’t feel the revulsion and disdain that some did, but it was definitely one of the dullest things that I had ever witnessed. So imagine my surprise, when on a recent re-viewing I became entranced, enraptured even. How could I have been so wrong all those years ago?
It is in fact something of a masterpiece. Although, masterpiece may be too strong a word for it, as I do still have some reservations. Flawed masterpiece, perhaps. Nevertheless, the first half of the film still drags somewhat, with the dialogue often seeming awkward and self conscious, but perhaps this is deliberate as most of the characters are rather unhappy with their lot.
The film revolves around a wealthy artistic family. The father (E.G. Marshall), unhappy with his emotionally fragile wife (the sublime Geraldine Page), leaves the family home and takes up with the life-embracing, and as such polar opposite of his wife, Pearl (the brilliant Maureen Stapleton). The mother, with a history of emotional problems, is devastated by the separation and struggles to cope with her aging. The eldest daughter, Renata (Diane Keaton), a successful writer, struggles to integrate her success into the context of her life, and her husband, Frederick (Richard Jordan), also a writer, but not a successful one, struggles to deal with his lack of success in light of his wife’s acclaim. The middle daughter, Joey (Mary Beth Hurt), is an artist with neither talent nor an art form. She is full of deep feeling and emotion, but has no way of channelling, her supportive husband, Mike (Sam Waterston), is surprisingly well-balanced and the youngest daughter, Flyn (Kristin Griffith), an aspiring actress, who does her best to hide her unhappiness, self-medicates with cocaine.
The film comes to life in its second half when the characters stop talking and Gordon Willis’s camera starts to talk. The mise-en-scène is bold and adventurous, and far more moving than any dialogue ever could be, with the largely static set-ups appearing to capture the souls of these troubled characters.
One mustn’t underestimate the importance of the Allen/Willis partnership. ‘Interiors’ follows the masterful ‘Annie Hall’, and is followed by the delightful ‘Manhattan’, Allen’s magnum opus ‘Stardust Memories’, the amusing ‘A Midsummer Night’s Sex Comedy’, the minor masterpiece ‘Zelig’, the inspired ‘Broadway Danny Rose’, and the sublime ‘The Purple Rose of Cairo’. If only the partnership had continued.
Summer Blockbuster Movies 2008
June 26, 2008
Every summer Hollywood lets loose with all the good stuff they’ve been holding back all year long. For months they have been teasing you with sneak peeks and trailers building up a level of excitement and anticipation the like of which have not been since last summer.
I kinda looked forward to this summer, as the promise of getting to see Speed Racer or my childhood hero, Indiana Jones on the silver screen is about one of three things that can actually lure me out of my house (fire and the next Dresden Files book are the others). Unfortunately, I blinked and missed Speed Racer, and it’s too hot outside to leave my climate controlled home to see Indy. That’s what HBO is for. And trust me, the way they loop a movie and play it to death, there will be more than ample opportunity to see them both. Twice.
But this year, Hollywood thinks I was in a severe car crash and now have to eat blended mashed potatoes through a straw while watching the high drama and suspense of the Wonder Pets on Nick Jr.
Wasn’t there a Hulk movie out not but just a couple of years ago? I remember the gigantic Hulk statue inside Madam Tussaud’s and taking a picture of my husband next to it. And correct me if I am wrong or out of line here, but didn’t it also suck so bad that we all left the theater with a severe case of wind burn?
I can’t seem to recall who the big villain was in that movie, who the writers and producers thought we wanted to see the Hulk smash-oh, wait a minute, I do remember. It was a dog. That’s right, they injected not one, or two, but three dogs with green juice and set them after the Hulk. They were large breed dogs and fairly mean, they did bark a lot prior to being juiced up by Nick Nolte. Hahaha! OMG that movie was awful. No, really, it was. If I want to see a guy smack a dog around, and I DON’T, I can watch one of Animal Planet’s dog rescue shows.
And, not for nothing, the Hulk as a character was totally unbelievable. I don’t mean the acting, cause, lets face it, Lou Ferrigno will always own that role. I’m, talking about that dreadful animation. It was like a bunch of guys who dropped out of DeVry did it on a lap top they stole from some high school out in the mid west. How hard can decent animation be? A long time ago when Jurassic Park came out the whole world thought they were looking at dinosaurs, and that was with what we would now consider old, aka “cheap,” special effects.
There was this one part of the movie, I think it was about an hour and a half long, where the Hulk was in a secret army base in Utah and then just started running and jumping and smashing. He destroyed tanks and planes and bombs and managed to skip right over school buses and flower beds. Then he saw the love interest, Betty, and calmed down and the movie ended. It was right before the part where he beat up three dogs. Before that were the opening credits.
So now this new Hulk movie is out, and everyone is going on about how great it’s gonna be. Hello! The Hulk movie is not really about the Hulk. It’s just a really cheap way to prep movie goers for the Avengers movie that is scheduled to come out in a few years.
And who else is sick and tired of people saying “Oh, don’t you just love Ed Norton?” Ummm, the guy from the Honeymooners? That was my first reaction. I had no idea who he was. As it turns out, he was that guy opposite Brad Pitt in Fight Club. Ironic that the movie poster for Fight Club was a bar of soap and Brad Pitt looked like he needed to be hit with a pressure washer. I know that’s not what the soap “represented” but Brad did look really dirty. mmmmm.
Ed Norton. Indeed. Why would you take that name if you had the choice of all of the names that ever were or could be. At least use some sexy or talented guy’s name! Or even take a page out of Marilynn Manson’s book for Pete’s sake, combine two perfectly good celebrity names into one neat original one. If I ever grow up to be a Hollywood movie star you can bet I’m not gonna call myself Rosie O’Donnel or Godzilla. But Rosie Rodan, that has promise.
I also really wanted to see the new Batman movie too, Dark Knight, but then poor Heath Ledger had to go and die. I cried when I heard. I’ll miss him, but not for nothing, this movie was so totally gonna rock. It was gonna be Justin Bale’s big break, no more would he be “that guy from American Psycho,” but rather, the Batman! Sadly, between the early reviews and news articles, and months of sneak peaks and on-line flamers, the talk of a posthumous Oscar, the latest reviews and newest commercials… I’m board of it already, and the movie is still like a month away from being released. Makes me want to see that Dragonball movie coming out next year. James Marsters is gonna play the role of Piccolo. Did anyone else just feel that breeze?
But here’s the worst insult of all. Someone let M. Night Shyamalan make another movie. Bad people, BAD! When are they gonna learn? All his movies, all, ever single last one - ALL have a twist ending that Stevie Wonder can see coming. The stories are at best “alright,” at least three characters have to whisper everything they say, and not a single film he’s ever made is worth the gas it would take to drive to the theater. Don’t believe me, here’s what critics have to say about his new movie - it has a “R” rating. Oooooo. That’s the best thing so far. An “R” rating. So what. Wanna impress me? How about this movie make a lick of sense! Keep me in my seat, at the very least keep me awake.
I can’t control myself any longer, spoiler alert - and I use the word “spoiler” very, very loosely.
Here’s the thing, if trees were ever going to develop some sort of chemical warfare that singled out and killed humans:
1. NY City would be about the safest place you could be and not where the movie takes place. The Sahara desert would be the second safest place. The Amazon River Basin and Yellowstone National Park would be killing fields, not Manhattan. 2. Maybe one plant, or even hell let’s go crazy, one entire species of plant could develop such a power, but all plants everywhere all at once, no, not gonna happen. The animation in the Hulk is more believable.
So, what have we learned about Hollywood’s summer blockbuster movies? With the price of gas and the heat, I’m advising that everyone get Netflicks and let the downloading begin. You can do it from the safety of you’re own climate controlled environment, pause the movie, use your own toilet, and enjoy a snack you didn’t have sell a kidney on E-Bay to be able to afford. That’s what I plan on doing. Provided of course no one sets my house on fire while I’m reading the next Dresden Files book. Can’t wait for book 11 to hit the shelves!
Is the Tamil Film Industry Headed For a Disaster?
June 26, 2008
The Tamil movie industry is one of the oldest film industries in India. Next to Bollywood, Tamil movies are being produced at record numbers each year. However, the fear that some movie goers have is that there seems to be a lack of good story lines in recent times as far as Tamil movies are concerned. This coupled with the fact that there seems to be a scarcity of actors with strong name recognition in recent times. There was a time when one mentions the name MGR and there was instant expectation of a high quality movie.
Mention the name Sivaji Ganesan and the movie buff could expect a high quality emotion packed story and top class acting. These great movie actors were followed by Kamal Haasan and Rajnikant who also claimed high quality acting levels. Now, however, there are too many actors and actresses, many of whom have no lasting power and staying stamina, end up acting in movies as well as sitcoms and television commercials and this has been watering down their star power. Add to it the fact that many of the Tamil movie actresses cannot even speak the language of Tamil and depend upon dubbing personnel to convey the thought. Not that good Tamil movies are simply not being made; there are high quality hits even in today’s movie world - movies such as Santosh Subramaniam, for example have captured the hearts of the young and the old alike; however, the ratio of good movies to average to poor movies in recent times is disproportionately low. This seems to be a cause for concern.
What can the Tamil film industry do to regain its high audience attraction. Well, to start off, they need to invoke only actors and actresses that claim strong star power. The story line has to be strong - forget about quantity and concentrate on quality productions. Actors and actresses need to be well versed in speaking the language. If Tamil is not their native tongue, then the producer or director must require that they take some kind of a Tamil language course and not let their acting excellence alone have to bear the burden of producing a quality act. After all, the screen has to depict both quality acting and superb delivery.
Iron Man Soars Past Expectations! (Review)
June 26, 2008
The long-awaited film of Marvel’s metal-clad superhero Iron Man is absolutely fantastic! John Favreau’s vision of the comic icon is well presented, providing full details for the greatest of fans and still managing to capture the audience’s attention throughout the entire movie. Beautifully shot, the film uses a powerful palette of colours and images that should be the standard for comic related films. While movies of similar ilk have generally increased in quality over the past few years, Iron Man seemingly pushes ahead to expand the suspension of disbelief to the point of allowing the viewer to emotionally embrace the unfolding of the heroes origin.
Marvel’s big guns united forces with the screenwriting team to conjure a wondrously written script. The basics of the origin story are maintained while being updated for a present day setting. The dialogue and character interaction could have been taken straight from an old comic without sounding too over the top (within reason given the nature of the characters speaking.)
Casting for Iron Man could not have been better! Robert Downey Jr. not only looks the part, but his acting ability allows him to express the bad boy attitude of Tony Stark and present a convincing evolution of the character’s compassion over the course of the film. Howard shows he is familiar with the Jim Rhodes persona and provides the movie goers with the realism needed to make the film enticing.
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS BELOW
Jeff Bridges was a good choice for Iron Monger. His development of the evil within himself was fairly straight forward and predictable, but none-the-less it was still exciting. The romance that developed between Stark and Potts was also predictable and anyone that has read the comic would rather expect it, but again, it was well done and did not take away from the main events of the story. It almost seemed that the origin of Iron Man did not need the attack of Iron Monger and the love of Potts to be involved, but not quite. The inclusion of these elements propelled the plot forward instead of feeling like they were forced in to make the film more comic-like.
While the action scenes contain breath-taking special effects and were tastefully placed within the story to enhance and not take over, the real excitement for those movie goers whom are also fans of the comic comes from two hints at future films (if you can call being hit over the head with a flat-out reference to another upcoming movie a hint!) Towards the end after Rhodey has helped Stark into his suit, he glances back at the all silver prototype and mumbles, “Next time,” we all know that War Machine and Tony’s heavy drinking binges are only a few films away!
Perhaps the most talked about portion of the film comes after the credits. For those that stick around long enough to get to the end, you get to see a teaser where Tony Stark finds Sgt. Fury standing in his living room and asks him to help form a team of superheroes he wants to call the Avengers! If that is not exciting enough, Samuel L. Jackson is portraying Sgt. Fury! Some may immediately say that Sgt. Fury is Caucasian in the comic books, and generally speaking that is correct, but there is an alternate version of Sgt. Fury, one specifically based on Jackson, so it is not only acceptable for Jackson to play Fury, it is fitting and gives Marvel a few outlets for altering stories to fit cinematic needs without upsetting hardcore comic fans.
Iron Man is filled with punch after punch of action excitement and keeps the audience interested through excellent writing, acting, and a great balance of explosions, drama, and romance. Exceedingly well planned, filmed, and presented, Iron Man will satisfy any movie fan and make them hungry for more!
