“Made of Honor” (2008)

Tom, played by Patrick Dempsey seems to have it all. He has a great career. He’s nice looking and has a good share of women after him. His rock in life is his female best friend, Hannah, played by Michelle Monaghan. They are platonic friends, but Tom doesn’t realize how empty his life is without her until she goes on an extended trip to Scotland.

Tom decides it’s time to take things a step further. He plans to propose to Hannah when she gets back from her trip, as he realizes his love for her goes beyond friendship. Unfortunately, his plan is crushed when he learns that Hannah has met a wealthy and handsome Scotsman and plans to marry him.

To add more fuel to the fire, Hannah asks Tom to be her maid of honor. He accepts, but only as an attempt to somehow win Hannah’s heart in the process. He comes up with some crazy tactics in hopes of deterring Hannah away from her fiance’ and is willing to do what it takes.

“Made of Honor” is rated PG-13 for sexual content and language. From the trailer this looks like a fun romantic comedy.
