The Game Plan 2007

The Game Plan stars Dwayne , “THE ROCK” Johnson, as Joe Kingman.

Joe is a tough quarterback for a major NFL team. He has taken many hard hits and surprise tackles in his day, but nothing knocks the wind out of him like finding out he has an 8 year old daughter ( Madison) he never knew existed! Kyra Sedgwick ( A.K.A. Mrs. Kevin Bacon for you trivia buffs), plays Joe’s Hard-nosed agent. She goes right into spin mode to make sure this new development does not derail Joe’s career.

The movie is mostly the formula you have seen before,,,,Bachelor has no idea how to take care of a kid,,,,bachelor slowly learns with many comedic moments,,,Bachelor finally gets the hang of it. But as with most formula movies, they become a formula because THEY WORK. These kind of movies always make you feel good in the end. What I did NOT EXPECT is for a movie starring “THE ROCK” to make me cry. So be prepared for some tear jerker moments!

This is a good family or date night movie. It will touch the hearts of any parent or grandparent. And ladies, it would make a good date night flick, as well as a good test of your man’s heart. If he does not at least look like he is trying not to tear up, he might not have a heart. ,,,Just my opinion!

I do not want to give too much away, but it may be worth watching this movie just to see The Rock… sing, play guitar, and do ballet?!

The Game Plan is rated PG for some thematic elements and runs 110 minutes. It is out on DVD now and was made by Walt Disney Pictures
