2000 The Superhero Decade, the List
June 26, 2006
This decade seems to be hit with a lot of superhero movies but then again so was the past two decades. However many of those movies were hardly memorable, but then again they did not have the technology that is available today. For instance the last scene in Spiderman 2 which showed a close-up of a sinking Doctor Octopus was all computerized and yet it didn’t seem like it.
Very well done. If your a comic book geek to the highest form you will be happy to note that even though many have already come out, you can look forward to the next few years as even more movies are released featuring your heroes.
Here’s the list which I’m sure will be missing some as a lot of times, movie creators want things hush-hush for whatever reason.

Mr and Mrs. Smith Review
June 21, 2006
I saw Mr and Mrs. Smith in the movie theaters last year and I recently watched it only to find that I had forgotten how funny this movie was.
One of the reason I loved this movie is because even though it’s billed as a dark comedy, I actually see it as an action-romance-comedy.
The fighting, bickering and scenes between Jolie and Pitt are wonderful and this is not a movie to be missed.
In case you don’t know what the movie is about:
Jane and John Smith met and got married soon after. They lived together for six years as husband and wife, neither one knowing or suspecting that the other is a hitman or hitwoman.
When their respective organization finds out before them, the bosses decide to join forces to do away with Mr and Mrs. Smith.
There are not many movies that I can watch without forwarding. A bone of contention between me and other people. But I really enjoyed this movie and can watch it from beginning to end in actual play mode.

The Break Up Movie Review
June 14, 2006

I have to say that I was a little surprised at how funny I found The Break Up to be. The movie is about a couple (Jennifer Aniston, Vince Vaughn) that want to break up, but they are still in love…with their shared condo. Each thinks that the other should move out and give it up, but neither wants to do that. So they take the advice of everyone from friends to strangers which is to try and drive the other one so crazy that they leave.
The antics of Aniston walking past Vaughn and his buddies naked was hilarious. The movie isn’t for everyone but I found it to my liking and will probably get it on dvd. I’m sure the hype of her ex-hubby and his girlfriend giving birth shortly after didn’t exactly help people to even remember who Jennifer Aniston is or was.

Ghost Rider Starring Nicholas Cage
June 11, 2006
I must say I don’t remember the comic books that the movie is based on or even if I read any, but when I heard Nicholas Cage was playing the lead character Ghost Rider I immediately didn’t like the sounds of that.
I have to admit I just might be wrong after watching the trailer/teaser. It looks great and looks to be a highly special effects movie. Let us all bound together and hope that it does not come out looking like a cartoon channel tv show ala The Hulk, boy that was awful and I didn’t even watch the movie. I still refuse to. The commercials were enough of a turn off.
Now after watching the trailer I was a bit PEEVED to noticed that it’s not coming until February of 2007. Just great. Well it can meet up with Spiderman which also isn’t coming out until around that time I think. Or maybe they will push it back to May/June like they to do.
Anyway, here is where you can view the trailers.
And speaking of Spidey, you can watch the high flyer or swinger in action from people that caught the movie taping in NYC.
High Flying Spidey, stunt double that is.
24: The Movie Is Now Official
June 8, 2006
There have been rumors abound about whether or not 24 would have a movie and I think that many pretty much knew that it would happen eventually and it is.
No deals have been made at the moment but Keifer Sutherland has said recently that would like to play his big screen counterpart.
The movie will have to step away from the tv format of a 24 hour day of course, but it be interesting to see what they do, what season it lands on or between and what characters are resurrected to reprise their roles.
