Live at The Colorado Dark Arts Festival Downtown Denver, Colorado http://www.coloradodarkarts.com/CDAF.html
Deviant put on a great performance at the Church for this years (2006) Colorado Dark Arts Festival. I haven’t seen them since the SLC Dark Arts Festival a few years back. Performing their favorites and some from their recent album, they even experimented with some new stuff which had a couple of retakes, but they overcame the incident and still kept us dancing and captivated. Deviant was formed in 2002 by vocalist/lyricist London, and the multi-talented musicians D’MacKinnon and Marcus Wilkerson in Denver meshing together rock guitar riffs, electronic melodies, and driving industrial drums creating their electro-rock presence that has been creating a large following in the Goth scene. Absenta was their first album release receiving praise from DJ’s, college radio, and the underground scene. Deviant won 3 awards at the 2003 Colorado Underground music awards and several tracks off of “Absenta” have been featured in films such as “Throttle” and appeared on compilation albums with other bands. They have since released “Drain You” and “Masochism” CDs as well and are in the works on their next CD. Review Rating of a 4 out of 5.
