More of The Small Screen Makes It To The Big Screen

Gurinder Chadha announced today that she would be directing the movie version of the popular night time soap opera “Dallas”. John Travolta and Jennifer Lopez are already on board for the big screen adaptation with more big names sure to follow. They will begin filming in October and the Dallas has a tentative release date of late 2007.

The director Gurinder Chadha is making I Dream of Jeannie a motion picture but says the script is only half completed at this point. No release date has yet been announced.

Like I said before nothing original ever in Hollywood. I didn’t see Bewitched the movie and doubt I will go to see Dallas or Jeannie. At least the Scary Movie franchise has a reason to show us things we have seen in other movies. What’s the general excuse of every other “blockbuster” that comes out? They want to cry and say that the internet is the reason movie sales were down and I say make better movies and you might see them go up.
